WELCOME to the Nova Scotia Wildlife Carvers and Artists Association. The club was formed in 1989 and now has members throughout the Maritimes and Newfoundland. Our first competition was held in the fall of 1989, and since then, some of our carvers have advanced to world class artists, bringing home ribbons from the Ward (World) Competition in Ocean City, Maryland.

Sheila Young's "Miniature Blue Heron" - Day 3
Now we added the long thin feathers on the back and breast areas first then cut in the primary feathers. We narrowed the beak down to its final shape and added the mouth line. Added the crown feathers that run down the back of the head
