WELCOME to the Nova Scotia Wildlife Carvers and Artists Association. The club was formed in 1989 and now has members throughout the Maritimes and Newfoundland. Our first competition was held in the fall of 1989, and since then, some of our carvers have advanced to world class artists, bringing home ribbons from the Ward (World) Competition in Ocean City, Maryland.

Sheila Young's "Miniature Blue Heron" - Day 1
With blanks in hand we started with smoothing the corners. Making sure contours are round and smooth. All thickness a trimmed down to the plans provided. Being sure to stay away from the tail and beak areas.
